FELLOWSHIP:

You have all been wonderful helping us out with our fellowship. It’s an important part of our Sunday Worship. It has been increasingly more difficult to maintain the standard that we have had with the amount of food each Sunday. This is due to our declining economy and the fact that quite a few of our ladies that helped out have moved.

We will continue to ask for ladies to help us out each week. Due to our circumstances and after prayerful consideration, we have decided on a new plan for fellowship.

The first Sunday of each month will be a potluck. There will be no sign-up sheet. We just ask that everyone bring something. Whatever you feel moved to provide.

The balance of the Sundays each month will have a menu of coffee, crackers/cheese, salad, fruit, vegetables and dessert. We believe we need to keep this menu until we see if our resources pick up. Thank you.

IN ORDER TO maintain proper decorum and respect, we ask that you turn your cell phones off or on vibrate during the worship service. We also ask that you not bring any beverages: sodas, coffee, tea, etc. to drink during the service. Water in a sealed container is an exception. Also, please do not have chewing gum in your mouth when you come up for communion. Thank you for your cooperation.

Webmaster news: I am in the process of implementing an improved mobile version of the website. It can be accessed at the same web address (sitpbigbear.org). Your mobile device (iPhone, iPad, Android, etc.) should automatically be detected and have the proper display served. This should greatly improve the readability on phones and tablets. The mobile navigation menu (still very much a work in progress) can be accessed by clicking on “menu” at the right side on top of the page. The sermon player has been replaced with a different one that should work better on different web browsers and mobile platforms (such as the iPhone). You may need to allow a few seconds for it to load and start playing after clicking the play button. If a player does not display, click on “MP3 audio” to play with your built-in player. Please visit the site using your mobile device and let me know how well the site and sermon player work for you. If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, I’d be interested in hearing them as well. You can contact me on Sunday at the church service, or by using the contact page. Brian, SITPbigbear.org Webmaster

Starting this week, we are adding this new webpage to contain the latest updates. Most of the information contained in this update will be taken from the Church Bulletin. Occasional extra news, schedule changes and “breaking news” may be added at other times during the week. In addition, this section will be used to introduce, explain and draw your attention to changes and additions that may be made to the website from time to time. The schedule for the week will not be posted in this section, as it is already included in the calendar and in the “upcoming” events list on the right hand side of each webpage. – Brian, SITPbigbear.org Webmaster
