To all of our Family at Shepherd in the Pines,
First of all, Cyndi and I would like to thank you for the very kind Christmas gift. It’s hard to believe that so much time has passed so quickly. This May it will be 10 years since we received our call at Concordia Seminary to this wonderful church on a mountaintop. High on the mountaintop, these words continue to ring out and echo throughout our experience, from evacuations and fires, road closures, mud slides, continued avalanche of boulders, the bark beetles, skiers, flatlanders, yes a mountaintop we never would have imagined ten years ago. Neither would we have imagined ten years ago our friendships and companionships, the joys and sufferings that we have shared our love of Christ. We thank you for your love and friendship, your faith and your devotion to Christ and His church. Both Cyndi and myself wish you the greatest blessings and peace in this New Year as we continue to grow together in the Word of God.
Sincerely;
Pastor Gene and Cyndi

This month’s child is Tyler.
My name is Tyler. I go to Baldwin Lake Elementary School. My favorite thing to do is to play sports. My favorite sport is basketball and if I’m not hanging out with my friends, I like to play video games. My favorite game is Call to Duty Black OPS online. One favorite player is Kobe Bryant because he is really a good player and also in the Hall of Fame. I have a Wii, a Playstation, and a X-box 360 Elite, which is my favorite game of all. My favorite thing about church is being an acolyte and our fellowship afterwards.
