FUTURE EVENTS:

 FELLOWSHIP- OKTOBERFEST THEME POTLUCK:

On Sunday, October 30, 2011, Reformation Sunday the Fellowship Committee is planning an Oktoberfest theme potluck following our worship service.  The Fellowship Committee will be furnishing the main dish and beverages.  May it be suggested that you may bring your favorite German side dish or dessert. Mark the date on your calendar.  Look for more information in the church bulletin.

 ANNOUNCEMENTS:

 WOMEN’S TUESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY:

Each Tuesday there is a Women’s Bible Study which starts at 11 AM to 1 PM.  All ladies are invited to attend.  Please see Sharon Strandberg for information.

 

WEDNESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY AT NOTTINGHAMS:                         

Each Wednesday there is a Bible Study at Nottinghams.  At the present time, we are studying the Book of Isaiah.  Everyone is invited to attend.

 

SERVICES: SATURDAY SHTIEBEL BET RO’ELTOV

On the first and third Saturdays there is the Shtiebel Bet Ro’el Tov Services that will start at 9 AM.  Everyone is invited to attend this very interesting and worthwhile service.

 

SUNDAY MORNING MATINS SERVICE:

Each Sunday, prior to service, there will be an opportunity to gather together for a Matins Service, and lift our voices to the Lord in prayer.  What a better way to begin your day and your week.  This service starts at 8:15 AM in the sanctuary.

 

SUNDAY MORNING PRAYER GROUP:

Each Sunday, prior to service, there is another opportunity to gather together at the Sunday Morning Prayer Group.  We will pray for you, the Pastor, the community, the nation, those who are in need, and for the work of the Holy Spirit.  If you would like to join us, please come to the Sunday School room at 8:35 AM.

 

SUNDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY:

On the first Sunday of each month we will be having a study on the Catechism.  On the other Sundays we will have a DVD Bible Study.

 

MIDWEEK SERVICES:

These services offers an opportunity for everyone to become closer to the Lord.  The Lord’s Supper is offered at these services. There is the Lord’s Supper Service which begins at 10 AM each Thursday morning, and on Fridays the Lord’s Supper Service begins at 12 Noon.

 

SPECIAL SYNAGOGUE SERVICE ON SEPTEMBER 30, 2011 AT 6 PM.

On September 30, 2011 there is going to be a special Synagogue Service at 6 PM.  Everyone is invited to attend.

 

HELPING HANDS:

Helping Hands is very important here at Shepherd in the Pines.  We are in need of more food items.  You may bring food and leave it in the narthex, or if you need food items, please see Cyndi Smith or Donna LaVoire.  You may also donate money to Helping Hands.  Please use the yellow envelopes located in the pews.

 

AMERICAN HEROES:

American Heroes are widely recognized and done here at Shepherd in the Pines, and it is very important to us as we remember our servicemen, fireman, and policemen.  Please give Bev Grabe the information so she can post it on our board.  We should also remember Pat & Sarah Wall who are serving in Eastern Europe with the Peace Corp.
