CONFIRMATION CLASS – Pastor Elroi Reimnitz will also resume teaching the class on Thursday, January 10th from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.  They are studying the six chief parts of Christian doctrine with eleventh lesson titled “Understanding Holy Baptism.”

MEMORIAL SERVICE – The service in loving memory of Diane Menius will be held here at SITP Lutheran Church on next Saturday, November 3rd at 11:30 a.m. followed by a reception hosted by the ladies of our congregation.

JESUS CLUB – We had 14 children in attendance for the All Saints’ Halloween Party last Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. They wore their favorite costumes and watched a video titled “Jesus, the Son of God.” They also completed and colored Bible lessons, played games and enjoyed the cupcakes, fresh fruits, chips and refreshments.

ANNUAL BUDGET – On Sunday, July 29th, the Voters’ Assembly adopted a new budget for 2018-2019 in the total amount of $98,902.60 with a needed average giving of $8,991.15 per month. DISTRICT CONVENTION – The 45th Pacific Southwest District Convention of The LCMS will be held next week from Wednesday through Friday (June 27-29) at The Hotel at Jamboree Center, Irvine. The theme: “Rejoicing with the Nations” (Revelation 7:9-10). Pastor Elroi Reimnitz will be serving as the pastoral delegate and Beverly Grabe as the lay delegate from our congregation. Pastor Reimnitz has also been nominated by the Pacific Southwest District Nominating Committee as a candidate to the Board of Regents of Concordia University Irvine (CUI).

ADULT BIBLE CLASS – Pastor Reimnitz is teaching the class on Thursday at the Denny’s Restaurant at 11:00 a.m. The topic is “Strengthened by the Word” based on Joshua 1:1-9.

VBS MEETING – All Volunteers are asked to attend the meeting tomorrow, June 4th at 4:30 p.m. here at the church to review the schedule, planning and training materials.

CHURCH WORK DAY – Everyone is encouraged to help us next Saturday, June 9th from 8:00 a.m. to 12 noon, especially with the storage room inside of the church and the weeds outside of the church. A sign-up sheet is available in the narthex.

BAKE SALE – Everyone is encouraged to donate baking goods to help defray the cost and expenses for the 2018 Vacation Bible School (VBS). The bake sale will be held next Sunday, June 10th immediately after the communion service at 10:30 a.m.

JESUS CLUB – We had 10 children in attendance last Thursday from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. They watched a video, “The King Is Born,” completed a Bible lesson and a project and played games.
